The famous Toyota Crown is finally on its way back to the U.S. After nearly fifty years of absence, Toyota has decided to bring back its most luxurious sedan to North America, complete with a brand new hybrid powertrain and a unique body style.

HYBRID MAX powertrain

The 2023 Toyota Crown will be offered with two powertrains. One is the latest Toyota Hybrid System, which uses two electric motors, while the other is a brand new HYBRID MAX system that combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a rear electric motor. The latter generates an impressive 340 horsepower and is expected to return 38 mpg combined. Regardless of trim level, every Crown will come with standard all-wheel drive.

First-class cabin

As the replacement for the Toyota Avalon, the Crown will feature one of the most luxurious cabins in a Toyota you can buy. Notable features include heated and ventilated leather-trimmed seats, an 11-speaker JBL® premium sound system, and a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, cloud-based navigation, Wi-Fi, and over-the-air updates.
