Toyota Collision Assistance App Guides You after a Collision

Featured

Toyota understands that sometimes accidents happen and wants to help drivers stay prepared. To assist them in this effort, they’ve created a Collision Assistance app to help aid drivers in what can be an incredibly stressful or traumatic experience.

Collision Assistance exists as part of Toyota’s mobile app and walks drivers through the steps they should take after an accident. This includes scheduling post-collision repair as well as help with managing insurance claims. The technology, developed by CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc., helps drivers document the accident and streamlines the process of submitting the information. It also helps keep the driver informed about the claim and repair process by providing transparent communication.

Collision Assistance is included in Toyota’s Safety Connect features that include access to a 24/7 help center. Agents at this help center can dispatch emergency services for drivers as well as Roadside Assistance. Per Andreas Hect, CCC’s OEM Services Group SVP, “Toyota is taking a comprehensive approach to post-collision management, and we’re proud to support its mission to deliver world-class safety experiences to drivers.” Collision Assistance is available to Toyota drivers who have an active Safety Connect subscription or owners of a 2018 model year or newer Toyota within its Safety Connect trial period. If you’d like to get a vehicle that qualifies, make sure to visit Robbins Toyota in Nash, Texas, to check out our new and used Toyota lineup!

Using paper is so 20th century. The new Sienna moves past print and into the digital era with the help of the new Driver’s Companion feature in the Toyota App. With this unique feature, the 2021 Toyota Sienna becomes the first vehicle available at Robbins Toyota with a fully digital owner’s manual.

Toyota’s Driver’s Companion is an advanced virtual assistant powered by Google Cloud. The assistant, Joya, responds to the sound of your voice and finds the information you’re looking for. Whether it’s figuring out dimensions or how much air you need in your tires, learning about features in the Sienna, or setting up your personalized settings, Joya can get it done.

“Toyota Driver’s Companion highlights how cloud computing can support interactive, engaging consumer experiences in a natural, accessible format — voice,” said Dominik Wee, Google Manufacturing and Industrial managing director. “By elevating and personalizing the car manual through the power of cloud, our goal is to help foster more thoughtful interactions between Toyota and Sienna drivers, such as responding to real-time inquiries.”

If you own a 2021 Toyota Sienna, you’ll have exclusive access to the Driver’s Companion pilot. Simply download the Toyota App and acquaint yourself with Joya. It’s a really cool and easy-to-use feature, and we’d expect that it will come to more Toyota vehicles in the future.

Toyota Builds 13 Millionth Vehicle in Kentucky

Toyota Kentucky - Robbins Toyota - Nash, TX

For more than 30 years, Toyota has been a leading manufacturer in America. In fact, the Tundra and Tacoma are both in Texas. The largest Toyota plant in the world is right here in America in Georgetown, Kentucky, and it recently celebrated a huge milestone. In March, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky built its 13 millionth vehicle since 1988.

“On one hand, it’s hard to believe we have produced 13 million vehicles,” said Susan Elkington, TMMK president. “However, when you consider the dedication and skill of our Kentucky team it isn’t so hard to imagine. It’s incredible to think about our customers, their families, and all the places they’ve gone in our 13 million vehicles. Looking forward, we are excited about the future of mobility and being able to take more people, more places.”

A beautiful Blue Flame 2021 RAV4 Hybrid was the milestone vehicle off the assembly line in Kentucky. The plant began building the powerful yet efficient SUV in January 2020, manufacturing it alongside the Toyota Camry and Avalon.

To celebrate the occasion, Toyota Kentucky made another commitment to America. It pledged $1.3 million to science, technology, education, and math (STEM) education across the state, delivering grants to organizations like Jobs for America’s Graduates and the Black Male Working Academy.

Though challenging, this year has proven a major one for Toyota in America. Toyota Kentucky expects to build its 10 millionth Camry later this year, which aligns with the 35th anniversary of the plant’s opening. Toyota also built its 30 million vehicle in North America earlier in the year.

Toyota is a brand that Texans and Americans are proud to stand behind. Robbins Toyota is the dealer driven by our customers because we’re proud to stand behind and with you when you need us. If you need a new vehicle, give us a call.

Toyota Reveals bZ4X BEV Concept

Toyota bZ4X concept - Robbins Toyota - Mt Pleasant, TX

From the launch of the Prius nearly a quarter-century ago, Toyota has maintained its spot as the auto industry’s leader in sustainable innovation. Today, Toyota commands more than a 40 percent share of the alternative fuel vehicle market — a number that will likely only increase thanks to the all-new Venza and Sienna. Toyota looks to expand that leadership even more with its first-ever foray into fully electric vehicles: the Toyota bZ4X concept.

Revealed earlier this month, the all-new Toyota bZ4X Concept effectively introduces the Toyota bZ brand — bZ meaning Beyond Zero. The Toyota bZ4X SUV concept is stylish and purposefully designed inside and out, and it sets the table for the first Toyota production EV to hit Nash, Texas, by mid-2022.

But Toyota is far from done innovating. Toyota will reveal a new BEV and plug-in hybrid this year, and it plans to have an electrified option for every vehicle in its lineup by 2025. That includes hybrid or battery electric versions of its Tacoma and Tundra pickup trucks. By 2025, Toyota will have 70 electrified vehicles in its global portfolio, including seven BEVs under the Toyota bZ sub-brand.

“The Toyota bZ4X concept points to yet another option in our already robust electrified portfolio” said Bob Carter, TMNA executive vice president of sales. “At Toyota, we are a human-centered company — the customer is our CEO and will ultimately decide which technologies will carry us toward a carbon-neutral future.”

Expect to hear more developments as Toyota continues to change the game. You’ll find all the information about the exciting new Toyota lineup, including the production version of the Toyota bZ4X concept, at Robbins Toyota — the dealer driven by our customers.
